We spent the last two weekends exploring different restaurants. Thursday evening we finally went to Jane's Bistro. A small (5 tables), that offers fresh ingredients, many organic. What a find!. The owner Jane was there and towards the end of our meal, talked with us about her experience. She is Vietnamese and her chef husband American. They came from Portland, USA and 3 years ago wanted to open a restaurant but could not fulfill that dream in the US. The menu and the food was fabulous. I had pumpkin and ricotta ravioli. We were offered a free dessert and then a special glass of cognac.
Saturday we went to The Propaganda.
Again, a great menu. We opted for the set menu which included a different wine with each dish. As we left we saw a huge poster celebrating the 100 year anniversary of Lenin. Frank decided to imitate.
