last day in Colombo

Yesterday was a day to explore some of Colombo.  I may becoming a  little weary of some of the old colonial aspects of south east Asia.

The waterfront is not particularly inviting.  Also there was a lot of military activity since February 4th is Independence Day and there were many preparations going on.

The Galle Face Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the colonial style.

Bar and restaurant where we had dinner - very nice.  Today we have a long day ahead as we prepare to go the airport for an 11pm flight with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur and then back to Ho Chi Minh.  Sunday will be a recuperation day I am sure.
